Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee of a plant. Her birth date was 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her three siblings. Stone was regarded as an academically gifted as a child and began in second grade at the age of five. Stone graduated from Saegertown High School located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. Also, Stone competed and was crowned the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone and her aunt, in 1977 relocated in New Jersey for a modeling job. She signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week later. In Europe, she lived for a year living in Milano as well as Paris. Stone unhappy with the fashion industry that was thriving in Europe decided to take up acting while living in Europe. She was 20 when she appeared in the Woody Allen film "Stardust Memories" with mixed receptions.
