Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. Along with BJJ, she also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18, she made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd then went on to take down three opponents consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents had been defeated in the first five minutes. After that, she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen a unanimous defeat and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's amateur career. Ladd bounced back from her defeat to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via one-round TKO. Her next bout was a win in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized her formidable wrestling skills to take down McGill and then ended the fight with a third-round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy as the catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round with a TKO. In her last fight for this promotion, Ladd beat Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was on UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round in the 2nd. Ladd remained in the lead as she picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd beat Evinger in the very first round and earned a reward for the performance of the night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she's ever had in any significant role. Ladd took home an unanimous decision in a great back-and forth fight with the fighters got her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
